Long-term wind data from official databases enable us to make trend statements about the wind situation in the relevant region. However, these data are for greater heights and usually not suficient to make meaningful yield forecasts.

The precise geographic location and possible obstacles primarily in the main inflow and outflow direction have to be taken into account.

Wind measurement

For a serious estimate, we recommend a wind measurement over a period of not less than two or three months using our especially designed measuring installation which will measure and record all importand data at 5-second intervals and form 10-minute means.

The wind data are classified and recorded with the precise date and time to allow a relationshop to be established with the long-term official wind data records for the region. Only these long-term data and the correlation with the planned erection site allow a serious yield forecast where wind conditions are not clear. 

To get a first "feeling" for wind power data, we recommend the "Windmaster2" hand-held anemometer.
